When Mabel Went to Blazes

Bay Head's first engine, affectionately named Mabel, was converted from a Stearns touring car. The time is about 1920. The railroad and station are gone now. And the public outhouse. The Lorraine Theater is now a restaurant (see A Rainy Day at the Seashore painting). The other buildings are now shops and the post office. The trestle was removed to create an island and bird reserve in the middle of Twilight Lake (see Feeding the Ducks print).
