Shore Birds

Painted on a small scrap of Masonite, this scene was suggested by a postcard photo of little girls wading at the Point Pleasant beach, taken 100 years ago. Getting the water right was part of the artist’s enjoyment. The early postcards were often black and white photos tinted.
