Morning Mist

Just prior to the Felton Cottage (or later known as the Owl House) being torn down in the 1970s, artist Dick LaBonte had the opportunity to photograph the inside of the house. The ghosts of those who had lived there since it was built in 1888 lingered, and this is what inspired the artist to create this painting. The spirits gaze upon an astonishing sight as a ghostly Graf Zeppelin glides silently by on its way to Lakehurst. (See When Airships Sailed the Skies painting, and The Wedding by the Sea)
