Meeting the 5:42

Bay Head is the last stop on the railroad serving the north-Jersey coast. The terminal point used to be called Bay Head Junction, because there was a connecting line that ran from Bay Head to Camden. These summer folk are awaiting the arrival of weekenders from New York and northern New Jersey in 1928 (you can tell by the license plates). There once was a fellow at the Junction with one of those little watch-your-step stools, but nowadays most of the time you are on your own. The train that runs now is the New Jersey Transit, New Jersey Coast Line.
