Girl on Top

After years of making trips to libraries, historical society museums and sending away for books, along came the internet, so LaBonte made use of the new technology to research old photographs via the Library of Congress collection. And there are thousands! He found one where a bunch of college guys made a human pyramid, and the challenge to paint it was too tempting. Of course he couldn't make it all male - he added the bathing beauty on top, and the crowd of onlookers (note their expressions!). He aptly named the painting "Girl on Top."
