Feeding the DucksFeeding the ducks at Duck Beach on Twilight Lake, Bay Head is no longer the custom it was for 100 years. The train used to run south over the lake to Philadelphia (you can see the train station here on the left). It still runs north to New York City, but the trestle is now an island and bird sanctuary, named Kellogg Island. You can often see egrets and herons on the island, as well as swans, ducks, and rarely, geese. In this painting, you can see a few of the early homes, and if you look closely, you'll see Murphy hanging off the train! Image size: 11x13. Giclee print. Limited edition of 150. Unsigned. $100 |
